However, I'm not looking for a drag radial, I'm looking for something that will hook but at same time, that will not kill me if the surface is damp or completely wet. So far I have had little to no luck, a size like 305 or 315 on a 18" wheel is not common, most tire manufactures only make them on 19" and up. If you are going to frequent the 1/4 mile and you don't have plans to drive the Z in wet conditions ever, a drag radial is your best bet, in which case I would go with a 305/40. Now, if you are planing on taking the Z to a circuit and driving it every now and then in wet roads, a Extreme Performance tire is the one to go with. Here a 305/30 or 315/30 will do just fine, however finding a tire on that has proven very difficult for me.
